Everyone,

I talked to Mark Hundley and Gary Newton last night. As most of you are aware, Mark Hundley, Mark Sturgis, Paul Gleaton and Ray Irizarry are paddling up the Intercoastal Waterway from Fort Lauderdale to Pungo to benefit the Shriner’s Burn Hospital. They finished their first thirty miles yesterday and they are all tired and their shoulders are sore.

Both Marks had an encounter with a manatee, and they all had to paddle through 2’ to 3’ swells for the last 5 miles, but all in all they had a good day on the water.

They slept in Palm Beach Florida Fire station # 37 last night and will do another 30 miles today.
